Our perspective: measure mowing and docking together
A robotic mower’s battery supports a repeating sequence of mowing, travel, docking and charging. Cell selection should therefore start with the complete daily duty cycle. Record the cutter and drive demand, time away from the dock, charging window and seasonal operating conditions. A longer single run may be useful, but it should be weighed against charging time and the pack’s behavior over repeated use.
Choose capacity within the real enclosure
For robotic lawn mower battery cells, nominal ampere-hours are only part of the decision. Compare the candidate model’s discharge limits, charge conditions and dimensions against the planned pack. LG 18650 battery cells and LG 21700 battery cells require different mechanical arrangements. Neither format automatically delivers a better mower: usable pack energy, mass, electrical connections and thermal behavior depend on the final assembly.
Outdoor equipment needs application evidence
A cell’s datasheet does not establish the weather resistance or vibration durability of the finished equipment. Those properties need enclosure, connector and pack validation. For OEM sourcing, share the pack voltage, duty cycle, temperature range and expected annual volume with your LG battery cell supplier. The result should be a model comparison supported by documentation and sample testing, rather than a generic promise about runtime.
